Criminally under rated offering from Frank Oz. Bill Murry and Richard
Dreyfuss play patient and therapist in a good natured but very funny blast from the early 90’s.
Rated PG it certainly hasn’t lost any of it’s charm since I first saw it
aged 15 years old. And our 10 and 12 year olds had a blast too. Not a million miles away from Ground Hog Day in terms of tone. I have to admit I was a little concerned that some of the terminology or approaches to mental health may not have dated well, but I shouldn’t have worried.
It’s a good-natured film with enough to keep all members of the family entertained. If you’ve not see it before, then you’re in for a treat. And if you have, it’s worth revisiting.
